About this event
@
Learn how colonists observed Christmas in the backcountry at The Living History Park in North Augusta. Throughout the day, park buildings will be open to invite visitors to enjoy live craft demonstrations and engage with knowledgeable interpreters in period attire. Children have the opportunity to meet Father Christmas, make pine cone bird feeders and enjoy free cider and cookies while they listen to stories read by reenactors.
This year, the park is bringing back the Colonial Christmas Artisan Market. Browse and shop the work of talented artisans whose crafts reflect the trades and traditions of colonial America from 1735 to 1785. Each vendor has been selected for their commitment to handmade craftsmanship, natural materials, and period-appropriate techniques and designs — offering a truly authentic glimpse into the handmade goods of the era.
