The Salvation Army of Aiken kicks off its Red Kettle Campaign and needs bell ringers
The 5AM Aiken team
If you have a few hours to spare, The Salvation Army of Aiken needs volunteer bell ringers to fill open shifts. Individuals, families, friends, coworkers and church groups are all encouraged to sign up. This year, every kettle will carry a QR code that links straight to online giving, for folks who don't carry cash.

Every dollar donated at a kettle stays local. It funds the Red Shield Youth Center, an after-school spot for kids, the Red Shield Emergency Solutions Shelter, and the Client Services Program, which helps neighbors in crisis with food and other basic needs. Leaders say the fundraiser helps with almost half of what the group does for the area.
