The Salvation Army of Aiken kicks off its Red Kettle Campaign and needs bell ringers

If you have a few hours to spare, The Salvation Army of Aiken needs volunteer bell ringers to fill open shifts. Individuals, families, friends, coworkers and church groups are all encouraged to sign up. This year, every kettle will carry a QR code that links straight to online giving, for folks who don't carry cash.

Every dollar donated at a kettle stays local. Leaders say the fundraiser helps with almost half of what the group does for the area.

poor babies in shelters tend to seek out companions for comfort and this is often the case when someone wants to adopt one - but the one being considered is too bonded with its friend to leave it.

“Thankfully many kind people see and understand this and will adopt both animals so they can stay together in a new wonderful home. God bless these kind souls.”
